What is Sports Massage?
How does sports massage therapy differ from therapeutic massage?
Sports massage therapy is a deeper form of soft tissue massage which uses specific techniques to treat physically active individuals, who may be more vulnerable to injury because of the stresses placed on the body by their sport.
The sports massage therapist may also advise on stretching or strengthening exercises as appropriate to work in conjunction with treatment.
How can sports massage help me?
Sports massage is particularly effective in treating minor soft tissue problems, relieving niggling aches and pains before they develop into more serious overuse injuries. It is also great in the pre-event situation, whether your needs are for relaxation or stimulation, and in post-event relaxation and recovery. Finally, it is good for the general relief of stress and tension and for fatigue, whether this is occupational, recreational or sporting.
Who can benefit from sports massage?
You don't have to be a sports person to feel the benefits! Waxing
'Beauty in Yu' uses a naturally derived honey wax which is warmed in a special heater and applied with a spatula onto cleansed skin. A paper strip is then placed over the wax in the direction of hair growth, pressed down and quickly removed against the hair growth.
Done correctly this should cause minimal discomfort and hair-free skin for up to four weeks. This can be done all over the body for males and females. There is no prickly re-growth which does occur after shaving.

''Beauty in Yu' uses two methods for eyebrow shaping, waxing or plucking. The shaping method used, depends on how much hair is present but is usually down to personal preference.
Professional eyebrow shaping will:
Give a cleaner line allowing better application of eye shadow
Balance facial features, Lift eyes
Suitable eyebrow shapes are determined by face and eye shape and last up to 4 weeks, depending on your own hair growth. We will discuss this with you before shaping.
EYEBROW & LASH TINT
Eyelash and eyebrow tinting can emphasise the eyes, usually lasts 4 weeks. Great for fair-haired people who want their eyelashes and eyebrows to stand out, or for those who just want a more natural but defined eye. A replacement for daily mascara or eyebrow pencil application. Using a safe and non-toxic dye to enhance eyes.

Exfoliate

It is a very relaxing treatment to have especially before going away on holiday to pro long your tan or before that special occasion with a low cut dress.
Ear Piercing
Beauty in Yu' uses an up to date ear piercing system so with us ear piercing is made simple. There is a variety of earrings to choose from and aftercare advice to follow through at home. Ear piercing is available for 4 year olds and above. For under 16 years of age we do need parental consent .
